Class 45/1 Preservation Society

The Society formed in 1986 to preserve British Railways-designed Class 45/1 locomotive No.45133 which is preserved and regularly operates at the Midland Railway Butterley. The Society became a Registered Charity (No.1168290) in 2016.

Epping Ongar Railway

6.5 mile-long heritage Railway in Essex, where 45132 is currently based. Easily accessible from London, with vintage buses connecting from Epping Underground and Shenfield National Rail stations.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse

The last surviving railway roundhouse in the United Kingdom with an operational turntable. Built in 1870, it was saved by a group of dedicated volunteers who have transformed it into a unique railway museum and events venue. 45118 resides here.
